The text is dense and not too suitable for the close reading it requires. This is rated as one of the best text on the subject. Notations of sources abound after every chapter. Has to be very dated (2013); a new edition is weeks away. I am using this for a college class. The instructor has power point presentations for each chapter, which helps as you cannot complete the reading adequately.
